KMC Controls successfully launches Acuity 2.0™ during Annual Sales Conference in Chicago and formally exhibits the product during the AHR 2004Pittsburgh, PA, Monday, March 08, 2004 KMC Controls, a leading North American manufacturer of building control (HVAC) products, successfully launched their next-generation graphical user interface (GUI) Acuity 2.0™ during their Annual Sales Conference which took place in Chicago between Oct 23rd and 25th 2003. Acuity™ is based on Eutech’s personalSCADA software. The two companies forged a strategic partnership in May 2003 and have been working very closely together to release the product during the months following the formalization of the partnership agreement. The product was well received by KMC Controls’ base of Authorized Installing Contractors during the Sales Conference. During this three day event, KMC’s partners had access to Acuity through both sales and technical courses. As a result, all are now prepared to assist and support their customers once usage of the new software becomes more prevalent. KMC Controls sees Acuity as the new standard for building automation as well as the foundation for interoperability and integration. Beta sites have already been implemented across the United States utilizing the software with BACnet and KMC’s own propriety KMD communications protocol. KMC Controls expects the software to be utilized to much greater extent once all the regional training programs for their dealers are completed over the next few weeks. To date, such training programs have been conducted in Dallas, Texas and Orlando, Florida. KMC Controls formally unveiled Acuity 2.0™ during the recent 2004 AHR Expo, which was held in Anaheim, California from January 24–27. In line with the active marketing of their new web-based software product for the upcoming 6 months, KMC will also be showcasing Acuity at NFM&T (March 9-11 in Baltimore), Globacon (March 24-25 in Boston), BuilConn (April 14-15 in Dallas), West Coast EMC (June 16-17 in Anaheim LA) and BOMA (June 27 – 29 in Ontario, CA). More details about these events can be found at KMC’s website (www.kmccontrols.com). KMC Controls and Eutech Cybernetics have also initiated development on additional software products to augment Acuity, refinements on communication drivers and existing product enhancements.
